Nursery & Children's Church

Being a parent is one of the greatest joys life can give. At Highland Park, we join you in thanking God for the little life you have been given. We offer you the services of our nursery and children's church programs and hope they will be a convenience and blessing to your family.

Our Purpose:
  • To provide a secure place for parents to leave children while serving the Lord through other ministries and worship.

  • To make it possible for all church attendees to worship and study in an undisturbed atmosphere.

  • To provide for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of babies and toddlers with loving care.

  • To free parents of child care during their time of Bible study.

  • To begin to teach the child that the church is a place characterized by love, fairness and joy; in this way preparing the child for future spiritual training. To teach through the Word and example that Jesus loves the child and is a friend.

Nursery
We want you, as parents, to feel comfortable when you leave your baby in the nursery, and know that the children are being given the same love and care that you would give. We are happy to give bottles, change diapers, cuddle, rock and love them for you.

Our nursery is available during both worship services and the Sunday Bible School hour for infants up to 2 years old. A Mother's Room is also available for nursing infants.

If you are new to the nursery, please take time to browse the Parent's Guidelines.

If you are interested in serving in this ministry or have questions please contact Kristi Hackett at 402-563-1220. .

Children's Church
Do you have children who are too young to sit quietly for the duration of worship? Children's Church is designed for 2 & 3 year old children. Quality volunteer staff care for the children, encourage them to participate in singing, age-appropriate learning activities and provide an "allergy-proof' snack. Children's Church meets in rooms (B11 & B13) in the west wing of the church facility.

This ministry is provided for both the 8:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. services. Please bring your child before the service begins.
