About Us

Worship Services

Come join us on Sunday morning as we exalt Jesus Christ in worship! We want to welcome you as our guest and provide a place where you can feel at home.

Our worship services begin at 8:30am and 10:15am and last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. They are the place where God’s people gather as His body to corporately express our love and praise to Him. A blend of contemporary praise and worship music, along with traditional hymns of the faith, draw believers into a meaningful time with God and prepare them for the biblical teaching and preaching from our pastors.

Between Sunday morning services, 9:45-10:15am, we have our Coffee Connection in the gathering area next to 38th Street Coffee. Come join us and enjoy a cup of coffee and a time to visit with others.

We also offer Sunday Bible School Classes for the entire family concurrent with the second service (from 10:15-11:30) on Sundays between Labor Day and Memorial Day!  Childcare for children 3 and under is available during both services year-round. Check out the current classes which are being offered on the Adult Ministries page as well as LAUNCH for children birth through 6th grade, and IMPACT for 7th through 12th grades.

Highland Park Church is located on the north side of Columbus, NE on 38th street. We are just east of the Columbus Community Hospital. Please refer to the maps and directions for more information.

About Us

Our highest desire at Highland Park is “Exalting Jesus Christ, Loving One Another and Giving Ourselves Away”. This is based on the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20. We will do so by…

Multiplying  and Training Disciples

  • We will build a training regiment that is Word-centered and theologically-focused that builds both life and ministry skill.

Sending Disciples

  • We will obey Jesus’ command to take the Gospel to the “ends of the earth”. We will follow God’s strategy to teach those who will teach others. We will do so by training and sending them to the community, to the surrounding town, to the region, to the ends of the earth!

Are you interested in Membership?

Because of the significance of church membership, we encourage people to attend Highland Park for at least 6 months before joining the church.  We believe members should know their church well and be fully aware of what membership entails.  It is strongly encouraged that you attend one of the Highland Park Membership sessions before applying for membership.  When you are ready to take this step, we welcome your application. Please contact one of our Pastors or Elders, or download a membership application and return it to the church office.

Statement on Marriage

God has designed marriage and defined it in His Word as the covenant relationship between a man, a woman, and Himself (Gen. 1:27; 2:24; Matt. 19:4-6). For this reason, Highland Park Church will only recognize marriages between a biological man and a biological woman. Further, the pastors of Highland Park Church shall only participate in weddings and solemnize marriages between one man and one woman. Finally, the facilities and property of Highland Park Church shall only host weddings between one man and one woman.
